Launching "Energy Conservation in Governmental Facilities" courses Organized by SEEC
The "Energy Conservation in Government Facilities" course for specialists in government agencies, organized by SEEC in cooperation with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) for employees of the agency over four days, was launched today Sunday, September 29, 2019, in Riyadh. This training course is the first of ten training courses that SEEC intends to organize in cooperation with the Corporation until the end of 2019 in a number of cities of the Kingdom, including, Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, Yanbu, Tabuk and Jizan, whereby these courses aim to raise the efficiency of specialists in government agencies to commit to periodic and preventive maintenance that contributes to raising the efficiency of energy consumption in government facilities. According to the agreement concluded earlier between SEEC and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, these courses are offered free of charge to trainees working in the relevant government administrative units such as maintenance and projects departments, support services and public services. It is worth mentioning that SEEC, within the framework of its interest in applying the mechanism of rationalization of electricity consumption in the government sector, which the Royal Highness directed to implement, is working on 3 tracks, the first of which is the technical track, which aims at clarifying the necessary standards to raise the electricity consumption efficiency in all existing government facilities and installations, and the mechanisms of their application. The second track is concerned with training programs which contribute to raising the capabilities and qualifying the competent human resources in government agencies to carry out the tasks of rationalizing and raising energy efficiency in their agencies. The third track is concerned with raising the awareness about the importance of rationalizing energy consumption and raising its efficiency through sustainable awareness programs and activities for the staff of these agencies.
