SEEC has awarded the Makkah Municipality the First Class Excellence Shield in the field of energy efficiency improvement. The award was presented during the ceremony for honoring distinguished government entities in energy consumption improvement for the year 2022, organized by SEEC. The event was attended by the municipality energy efficiency team and several officials and representatives from government entities.

The municipality achieved a 100% rating on the Performance Scorecard, reflecting its commitment to energy consumption standards. This achievement followed the implementation of several internal initiatives aimed at improving energy consumption across all municipality facilities and buildings. The municipality adopted the necessary standards to enhance efficiency, established models and guidelines, and conducted workshops to promote awareness among all staff members. These efforts fostered a culture of energy conservation, transforming it into a daily individual practice with a positive impact on energy consumption.
