Approving the Licensing Regulation for EE Service Providers
SEEC Board approved the licensing regulation for energy efficiency service providers, provided that the regulation shall come into force 90 days after the date of its publication in the Official Gazette on Friday, August 28, 2020. This regulation aims at regulating the energy efficiency services sector and ensuring the quality of the service provider's work by granting the license and supervising service providers in a way that preserves the rights of the beneficiary. This license authorizes service providers to work in energy auditing to review energy consumption and identify energy saving opportunities within buildings with the aim of raising energy efficiency and reducing consumption costs while maintaining or improving the performance of the facility. Service providers, through this license, can also act as a third party in the field of measurement and verification in energy efficiency projects, which are based on the methodology of energy saving performance contracts (ESPC) where the company's role is to ensure the implementation of the project according to the technical standards approved by the Center, and this license entitles service providers to provide the following energy efficiency service activities: - Reviewing data and auditing the energy of buildings - Energy measurement and verification services.
